School Overview
Rawhyde is one of 8 official BMW training schools worldwide. Jim Hyde modeled his off-road school on training he received at BMW’s highly regarded training center in Germany. Their primary goal is to show students how to ride big bikes like the BMW GS and KTM 950 in an off-road environment. These motorcycles are the SUV’s of the enduro world, and can be intimidating without off-road riding experience. Rawhyde provides that experience in an “Adventure Camp” setting.
Curriculum / Course Desription
RawHyde’s “Adventure Camp” is an immersive experience. The program runs from a Friday evening to Monday morning. You spend your time learning about navigation, gear, tire choices, accessories, communication and many other aspects of “Adventure Riding.” Training programs are designed and tailored to fit specific rider interests and capabilities, including; Introductory, Intermediate, Advanced, and Couples Training. In 2008 they also initiated a women-only class.

I’m scheduled to take this class and they have my deposit. I’ve met Jim Hyde and know several graduates of his class personally. They speak very highly of the experience.
